Pea Ridge: The Battle for Control of Missouri and Arkansas  E-mail

A new union general, Samuel Curtis, takes control in Missouri and decides he must destroy the rebel armies. He marches South into northern Arkansas, extending his supply lines to the limit, and prepares a solid defense line atop Pea Ridge. Rather than attack Curtis' planned defenses, the new confederate general, Earl Van Dorn, plans to destroy Curtis's army with a lightning attack on Curtis's rear.
